Eminem had a chat with fans on Nifty Gateway discord, posts a new selfie.
After an announcement a few days ago, Eminem has announced what’s coming in his first NFT Release on the Nifty Gateway marketplace. He revealed that it will be called “Shady Con” and will feature a variety of Eminem-approved NFT collectibles, along with a lot more things. “I’ve been collecting since I was a kid, everything from comic books to baseball cards to toys, as well as every rap album on cassette I could get my hands on,” said Eminem. “Not much has changed for me as an adult…I’ve attempted to re-create some of those collections from that time in my life, and I know I’m not alone. I wanted to give this drop the same vibe of, ‘Oh, man I gotta get just that one or maybe even the whole set!’ It’s been a lot of fun coming up with ideas from my own collecting passion.”
I didn’t really have a run-in. Rosenberg brought me the idea and broke out the hand puppet to explain it. The drop doesn’t have a message but it definitely has a theme. If people like what we did then the message is we’ll be back. Shady Con 2 – Electric Boogaloo. To me this is just the tip of the iceberg. I think NFTs will continue to change and the fanbase will grow. Music and technology have a love-hate relationship, so it should be an interesting ride.
For the promotion of the upcoming drop, the Detroit rapper joined the Nifty Gateway’s discord where he interacted with fans, along with his manager Paul Rosenberg. During the chat, he revealed his favorite Marvel movie, his favorite track off Nas’ Illmatic, and a lot more things. He also talked about the creative process behind NFT. He also shared a new selfie on their discord, in which he is standing in front of the picture of a Goat. Check all of it below.
