Eminem produced the rap battle film “Bodied” to debut at TIFF.
Eminem was founded because of Rap Battle and has a long relationship with this art. He has already acted in a Rap Battle movie “8 mile” and now he’s trying his hand to produce a film of the same topic. Eminem teams up with his manager Paul Rosenberg and Adi Shankar on a new film “Bodied”, which has been selected as the Midnight Madness Opening Night Film at the 2017 TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival).
Bodied, a new independent film produced by Eminem and set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, is believed to center on the realm of the rap battle. Unlike the semi-autobiographical 8 Mile, however, this film takes a satirical look at rap battling rather than merely one component of a story about a young, aspiring Detroit rapper attempting to make ends meet. Before the film’s premiere at TIFF next month, the Bodied teaser has been released online, and you can see it below.

The film will premiere on September 7th at TIFF. The film will star Anthony Michael Hall, Debra Wilson, Jackie Long, Charlamagne Tha God, Calum Worthy and real battle rappers Jonathan “Dumbfoundead” Park and Dizaster. It is directed by Joseph Kahn. Check out the trailer below.
