Here’s Some Good news for Eminem & Actor Jake Gyllenhaal’s Fans, Yesterday Both the Artist makes a Surprise Appearance On Southpaw Screening. The Surprise Visit from Actor & Detroit Rapper who Produced the Movie Soundtrack Gave Audience an Insight into what the Movie is All About.
At a screening of the upcoming sports movie “Southpaw,” the Detroit rapper and actor Jake Gyllenhaal made an unscheduled surprise cameo. During the preview event of the boxing drama, the 42-year-old rapper and the actor from “Prisoners” were greeted by ecstatic fans, according to Aceshowbiz.
On the Screening of the Southpaw Movie at the AMC Livonia, Eminem Addresses the Crowd and said “from the minute I saw this script, I really felt like this movie had the potential to be something special. we hope that you all do, too. Jake did an incredible job, Fifty killed it, everybody in the movie is great in my opinion. I’m super excited to be a part of it.”
Gyllenhall plays Billy “The Great” Hope, a professional boxer whose life unravels after his wife dies, resulting in a custody struggle for his daughter. The soundtrack was executive produced by Eminem and will be released on his Shady Records label.
After Eminem, Jake Gyllenhaal took the mic and addresses the crowd saying, “The album is sick too, The training montage is insane because of his music. It’s an honor to have Eminem even be a little part of the movie, but the fact he gave so much to it, we all gave our hearts to it. It’s an honor to be even next to him.”
In addition to the two new Eminem tracks, the soundtrack for “Southpaw” has songs by 50 Cent, The Weeknd, Action Bronson & Joey Bada$$, Slaughterhouse, and others. Two arrangements by the late James Horner, the Academy Award-winning composer of “Titanic” and “Avatar,” are also included on the soundtrack. He unfortunately died in late June.
