Eminem is always featured in the lists when it comes to streaming numbers as well as pure sales worldwide. He’s the second best-selling artist with the most downloaded singles in the US, just behind Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift is currently in top place. Nonetheless, Eminem’s sales in the United States are amazing.
Eminem released his debut studio album “Infinite” in 1996, before signing to a big record company towards the end of the 1990s. The record, which was only available on cassette and LP, went mostly overlooked, with sales hovering around zero.
The Slim Shady LP, the rapper’s debut album with Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment, was released in early 1999. The album was an instant smash in the United States, arriving at #2 and generating his first Top 40 single, My Name Is.
