Eminem is the Best Selling Male Artist of this Past Decade

Eminem is the best-selling male artist of the 2010s.

Eminem who recently celebrated his 48th Birthday is still creating a lot of records as he is named as the best-selling male artist of the last decade. Many people say that no one listens to the Detroit Rapper anymore but this number proves them wrong.

According to Nielsen Music’s decade-end survey, despite heavy competition from fresh musicians half his age, Eminem triumphed as the bestselling male artist of the 2010s.

In the 2010s, Eminem sold a staggering 13.862 million albums. Slim Shady is the third bestselling artist overall, behind Adele who’s on rank 1 with 23.924 million album sales, and Taylor Swift on number 2 with 22.972 million albums sold in the past decade.

Despite his rise to fame during the CD era, Eminem has shown to be a streaming powerhouse over the last decade, coming in third with 17.8 billion on-demand streams, trailing only Drake (36.3 billion) and Post Malone (18.9 billion). He owes a lot of his streaming success to the three No. 1 singles he’s had in the last decade—”Not Afraid,” “Love the Way You Lie,” and “The Monster”—as well as four more Top 10s. He also had the best streaming week of his career thanks to Kamikaze. These numerous achievements helped the rapper become the sixth most-streamed global artist of the decade on Spotify.
