According to Official chart data in the UK, the Detroit Rapper is the solo artist with the most debuts at number 1 on the Official Singles Chart, with 8 songs Topping the charts. In the overall list, he’s ranked on the third spot after the Pop Bands Westlife and Take That.
Westlife has the most No. 1 debuts on the Official Singles Chart, with 14 of their songs reaching the top spot in their first week. Their first was Swear It Again in 1999, followed by a record-breaking six consecutive Number Ones, the most recent of which being 2006’s The Rose.
Take That, a rival boyband, is far behind Westlife, with ten of their 12 chart-topping singles debuting at number one. The group didn’t get their first No. 1 until their ninth song, Pray, in 1993, but they were nearly unstoppable after that, earning their last in 2014 with These Days.
