Eminem struggles to remember that he was featured in the “Still D.R.E.” visual.
Eminem recently collaborated with Snoop Dogg on long-due collaboration “From The D 2 The LBC“, and now the two are sharing clips from a conversation session they had in the studio. In a new video, Snoop and Em talked about Dr. Dre’s “Still D.R.E.” single in 1999, and the Detroit rapper completely forgets that he was featured in the video.
“Was I in that video?” asks Eminem. “Yeah, you was running on the beach,” Snoop responds. “That was like your debut album… You was running on the beach with damn-near no clothes on.” “I was?” says a puzzled Eminem. “Why the f**k do I not remember?… What the f**k? You gotta show me that sh*t ’cause I don’t remember.”
When Snoop explains the entire scene, then Eminem says, “Oh yeah, okay, okay. Now, I remember.” In the classic music video, Shady was running at the beach in a boxer and chasing a bunch of ladies.
Snoop admitted to Em in another footage from the same conversation that their collaboration, “From the D 2 the LBC,” “tested” him as a rapper. After Em commended his verse, Snoop remarked, “You put me back in my karate school days, where I used to be a young MC and love the challenge of having to try a new style or new cadence.” Em said, “You showed out, you definitely showed out.”
