Taylor Swift tops Genius’ most-viewed album of 2024.
With 2024 coming to an end, the Lyrics platform Genius has also released its year-end lists, which include top songs, albums, artists, and more. In the top 10 albums of 2024, which is determined by Genius pageviews, topped by Taylor Swift’s THE TORTURED POETS’ DEPARTMENT.
The second on the list is Eminem, with his comeback LP “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce).” The Detroit rapper’s 12th studio album was released in July as a concept project centred around a battle between Eminem himself and his Slim Shady alter ego. The album debuted at number 1 on the US Billboard 200, moving over 281,000 album-equivalent units in the first week.
The album’s first single “Houdini” also featured at number 3 on Genius’ Top Songs by pageviews, only behind Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss tracks “Euphoria” and “Not Like Us”. Overall, Eminem was the 5th most viewed artist on the platform, only behind Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter and Billie Eilish.
