Eminem Covers Complex Magazine.
Eminem has had a fantastic promotional run leading up to the release of “Revival“, which is especially pleasant given how little we hear from him outside of an album cycle. Many people, including us, have been pleasantly pleased to learn that he is not as cut off from the public as he appears to be at times.
Eminem’s 9th studio album ‘Revival‘ out last week and he’s currently on a promo run for it. After appearing on ‘Interview Magazine‘ earlier this month, Eminem Covers another magazine, This time Complex’s 2018 first month edition. On the show he talks about how Jay Z inspires him, Trump Infauriates him, making of his project ‘Revival’, things bother him about America right now, and much more.
When Complex asked “On the album cover, you seem a little disappointed in the country. Is that an accurate portrayal?” Eminem said, “I would say that’s probably an accurate portrayal, but I do feel like we live in the greatest country in the world, but I know that we’ve got a lot of shit to work on.”
Eminem Commented on Trump, “Then we get this guy in the office and it’s literally like watching our country take as many steps we took forward, we’re taking them right backwards. That’s the thing that gets me frustrated so much because I mean… I don’t know. Anything that I say about Trump on this album I don’t think is anything that he doesn’t already know about himself, but hopefully, maybe I can get the attention of people that may be on the fence. Like I said, it seems like his base is growing smaller and smaller every day, which he is only the President of, is his base, because it’s what he cares about. It’s the only thing that he cares about, but he actually doesn’t care about them, so it’s this weird f**king dynamic because he really doesn’t give a sh*t.”
