Eminem earns a historical milestone on the US Billboard chart.
Ahead of his MTV VMAs performance this week, Eminem has now earned a historical milestone on US Billboard chart. The Detroit rapper’s greatest hits collection “Curtain Call” has spent a milestone 600 weeks on the Billboard 200 Chart, at #198 this week. The album now becomes the first hip-hop project in history to reach the milestone and the sixth album overall. The two rap albums behind “Curtain Call” are Kendrick Lamar’s “Good Kid Maad City”, and Drake’s “Take Care”.
The album which was dropped back in 2005, includes Eminem’s greatest tracks like “My Name Is”, “Stan”, “Lose Yourself”, “Without Me”, “The Real Slim Shady” and more. Earlier this year, the project earned Eminem his sixth RIAA Diamond after selling 10 million units in the US.
Overall, the top albums that spent most weeks on US Billboard 200 are Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of the Moon” (990), Bob Marley’s “Legend: The Best of” (851), Journey’s “Journey’s Greatest Hits” (821), Metallica’s “Metallica” (758), and Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits” (710).

It’s the first rap album in history to reach the milestone.
