Eminem tops the Billboard chart with “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce).”
The first week numbers for Eminem’s new album “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)” are finally here, and the rapper topped the US Billboard 200 chart.
The project moved 281,000 equivalent album units in the week ending July 18, according to Luminate. The album debuted atop with the largest week for any rap/hip-hop album in 2024. This is the Detroit rapper’s 11th chart-topper, which is also consecutive.

Eminem now ties Bruce Springsteen, Barbra Streisand and Kanye West for the fifth-most Number 1s on the US Billboard 200. He’s now behind The Beatles (19 No. 1s), Jay-Z and Taylor Swift (each with 14) and Drake (13).

The rapper previously topped the US album charts with his projects The Marshall Mathers LP (2000), The Eminem Show (2002), Encore (2004), Curtain Call: The Hits (2005), Relapse (2009), Recovery (2010), The Marshall Mathers LP 2 (2013), Revival (2017), Kamikaze (2018) and Music To Be Murdered By (2020).

The Death of Slim Shady’s 281,000 first-week units include, SEA units 164,500 (equaling 220.08 million on-demand official streams of the tracks on the streaming edition of the album), sales comprise 114,000 (all from digital downloads [No Physical]) and TEA units comprise 2,500.
