Drake's If You're Reading This It's Too Late Breaks Spotify Record

Drake’s new “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” project creates a new Spotify Record.

Not even a week after its release, Drake’s surprise album “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” is already breaking records. According to Spotify, the 28-year-old rapper’s new album has set a record for the most streams from an album in its first week in the United States. Drake’s New Mixtape If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late has set the new Record on Spotify of Most streamed Project.

The Album has streamed 17.3 Million times within a 3-day span and it becomes the most-streamed in its debut week in the US. It also broke the record of most streams in a day with 6.8 million streams on February 14th. Drake has broken his own record of most Spotify streams as his previous album “Nothing Was The Same” streamed 15.8 million times in its first week in 2013.

The Mixtape/Album already sold about half a million in its first week and it will land at #1 on Billboard this week. The album has sold 497,602 copies in 5 days and 541,585 if we add the streaming data as well. The album went gold in 5 days of its release. The 17-track album includes a heartfelt ode to his mother, You & The Six, as well as collaborations with Lil Wayne and Travis Scott.

UPDATE:  After a Massive Opening Week, Drake’s Latest Mixtape Slide Down to 2nd Position with 187, 000 Units (Down 65%) in its Second Week.
