Drake opened for Lil Wayne at the Welcome To Tha Carter Tour.
Lil Wayne continued his Welcome To Tha Carter Tour as following the shows in Chicago and Detroit, the rapper now reached Toronto in Canada. Before kicking off things, a very special guest opened for Cash Money mogul, who was none other than Toronto star Drake.
Drizzy hit the stage with a little reception and production in dark light, and the crowd went wild as soon as they recognized the “Take Care” rapper.

In February, Drake honoured Wayne as he presented him the Global Impact Award at a Grammy event. “I love you so much and I don’t want to make this personal because the Global Impact Award would be about how you affected everybody, not just me,” he said. “I know I’d probably get annoyed with saying how much you mean to me and my family, but I speak on behalf of everybody when I say that our careers, our cadences, our melodies, maybe our face tats or our outfits or our decisions in general would not have been the same without your natural gift to just be yourself.”
Just a few days prior to his performance, Wayne released his first-ever career-spanning compilation album, I Am Music. The album, which is available on all major streaming platforms via Young Money Entertainment/Republic Records, features 18 tracks including Wayne’s latest single “Kant Nobody” featuring DMX, produced by Swizz Beatz. The track has already gained significant traction, accumulating over 8.4 million Spotify streams and 5.9 million YouTube views for its music video. The compilation also includes the popular track “6 Foot 7 Foot” featuring Cory Gunz from Tha Carter IV album, which has recently resurfaced and reached No. 8 on the TikTok Top Tracks chart in the US.
