Drake lists his Top 5 Rappers.
Drake reveals the list of his top favorite rapper via the Instagram comment section this Thursday. OVO Hush aka Young Tony posted a picture of his old mixtapes under which Drake commented his top 5 rappers. “My top 5 is Biggie, Hov, Wayne, Young Tony, and 3000 since nobody asked,” wrote Drake.
Drake has established himself as one of the most renowned and influential rappers of his generation, largely recognized as a pioneer in the popularisation of the Toronto sound. That doesn’t rule out the possibility that he, like other hip-hop enthusiasts, has considered his top five GOATs. While many of his choices are quite typical, one, in particular, has caught our curiosity.
Drake was beaten to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 earlier this week by country music legend Kenny Chesney. Despite the fact that all 14 singles on Drake’s Dark Lane Demo Tapes made the Hot 100, the album came in second.
Surprisingly the list has no 2Pac who’s probably in Top 3 MCs of everyone’s list. The legendary Detroit rapper Eminem wasn’t on the list either, whom Drake called ‘Greatest Rapper to Ever Get on the Microphone‘ in the past.
