Nielsen reveals the most-streamed US Artists of 2010s.
Nielsen has provided the data for the most streamed artists in the US of this past decade and it is topped by Canadian rap star Drake. He topped the list with a gigantic 36.3 billion streams (Video & Audio Streams Combined) in the past 10 years.
Drizzy’s reign as the leading artist of the streaming era has been marked by five studio albums, all of which have debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 list, four mixtapes (If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, More Life, and Dark Lane Demo Tapes), and a B-sides collection (Care Package).
Rapper/Singer Post Malone is ranked number 2, who’s streamed around half of Drake with 18.9 billion. He is followed by Eminem on number three with 17.8 billion streams in the 2010s.
The Weeknd comes in sixth place with 13.6 billion streams, followed by Taylor Swift in seventh place with 13.3 billion, XXTentacion in eighth place with 13 billion, Ed Sheeran in ninth place with 12.9 billion, and Rihanna in tenth place with 12.8 billion. Rap and hip-hop in general became not only the most popular genre of the decade, but also of the year 2020.
