Drake’s last year project “Scary Hours 2”, which only had three songs, becomes his 13th project to surpass a billion on the streaming platform. It was an extended play with guest appearances from Lil Baby and Rick Ross. The track “What’s Next” debuted atop Billboard Hot 100, becoming his eighth track to reach the milestone.
Her Loss has been hugely popular among fans and has generated a lot of buzz, particularly for one of its standout tracks, “Rich Flex.” This song has inspired a series of viral videos, in which animated versions of Drake, as well as fans impersonating the 6 God, put their own spin on the track’s well-known line. The 6 God and his fans have added their own twist to the popular line from “Rich Flex,” “21, can ya do something for me?” Recently, Drake responded to these videos by acknowledging the challenges that come with fame. He stated, “I was just like, ‘You know what? I understand that after all these years, that I feel like I have a polarizing presence. I’m almost a character in people’s movies, and therefore, there’s a running dialogue. There’s jokes. You’re either the villain to some people [or] the hero to some people. It is what it is.”
With 404,000 album-equivalent equivalents, comprising 12,000 pure album sales, Her Loss debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, dislodging Taylor Swift’s Midnights (2022) from the top position. There were 513.56 million on-demand streams in total for Her Loss. This is 21 Savage’s third and Drake’s twelfth number-one album in the US, together. The next week, Midnights regained the top spot while Her Loss fell to number two.
