Drake mocks Rob Markman while reiterating Tory Lanez Support.
Drake is back with a new jab, as he mocks music journalist Rob Markman, while showing support for incarcerated Tory Lanez. The situation happened after an old clip of Tory Lanez effortlessly rapping a Lil Wayne verse, but Rob Markman failed to do the same.
Drake took to the comment section and wrote: “Of course this Goof Markman couldn’t finish the bar… free Tory.”
Rob Markman, who’s known for his lyrics breakdowns on Genius, and also a rapper himself, also responded to the comment in reference to Drake suing UMG after beef battle with Kendrick Lamar. “But if I start calling you names you gonna sue [laughing emoji],” he wrote.

The Toronto rap star is one of the artists who showed open support for Tory Lanez, who’s in prison for shotting Megan Thee Stallion. On his 2022 song “Circo Loco”, Drizzy rapped: This bi–h lie about getting shots, but she still she a stallion / She don’t even get the joke, but she still smiling.”
Following the song, Stallion responded on X: “Stop using my shooting for clout bi–h a-s Ni–as! Since when tf is it cool to joke abt women getting shot! You ni–as especially RAP Ni–AS ARE LAME! Ready to boycott bout shoes and clothes but dog pile on a black woman when she say one of y’all homeboys abused her.”
She added: “And when the mf facts come out remember all y’all h-e a-s favorite rappers that stood behind a Ni–a that SHOT A FEMALE. People attack me y’all go up for it , i defend myself now I’m doing too much … every time it never ends and this did NOT happen until I came out and said I got shot … y’all don’t fwm okay cool f–k it bye.”
