Drake calls Lil Wayne the most selfless artist.
Drake has always paid respects to his mentor Lil Wayne and once again, he honors the legendary rapper through an Instagram Comment. Elliott Wilson posted a clip from Wayne’s interview, where Tenuchi talks about meeting Drake before he was signed to any label.
The remark was made in response to a video of Tunechi narrating the tale of his first encounter with Drake posted by TIDAL Chief Content Officer Elliot Wilson. “As far as Drizzy, he was always just a knockout from the door,” he added, adding that he was surprised to learn that the OVO boss was from Canada and had previously featured on Degrassi. “It means a lot to me that he thought of me as a possibility.”
Drake reacted to the clip through a comment in which he calls Lil Wayne the most selfless artist ever. “This man believed in me after so many never called again or just didn’t see it, to begin with…most selfless artist ever,” wrote Drake. “Never held any of us back always pushed us forward every single night in people faces 20k packed into an arena and he had a whole set of his show dedicated to introducing us FOR YEARS…all praise and credit due to the 🐐.”
