“Still D.R.E” surpassed 1 billion on Spotify.
Dr. Dre’s 1999 single “Still D.R.E.” which featured Snoop Dogg, continues reaching new heights as the classic has now surpassed 1 Billion Streams on Spotify. The track picked up the pace earlier this year after Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg performed the track during their Super Bowl Halftime show, which also had Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige and 50 Cent.
The song now becomes the second track that was released in the 1990s to reach the milestone, the first being Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise”.

“Still Dre” was released as the lead single from Dre’s multi-platinum second studio album, 2001, on November 2, 1999. The single’s success helped the album to multi-platinum status, signalling Dre’s return to the forefront of hip-hop. The track made its debut on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 93 on the Charts. It was more successful in the United Kingdom, where it hit number one on the R&B charts.
The song achieved a new peak of #23 after his Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show performance on February 13, 2022, which included the song.

Following their performance at Super Bowl, the music video for the single also surpassed 1 Billion views on Youtube.
Snoop Dogg went into further detail about Jay-involvement Z’s to the song during an appearance on The Breakfast Club. He claimed, “He wrote Dr. Dre’s s**t and my s**t and it was flawless. “It was ‘Still D.R.E.’ and it was Jay-Z and he wrote the whole f**king song.”
