Dr. Dre seriously wants to play at the 2028 Olympics.
While Snoop Dogg was a part of the 2024 Olympics as an NBC correspondent, his longtime friend and collaborator Dr. Dre has his eyes on the next Olympics in 2028, where he wants to take part as a player. In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Dre revealed that he wants to play Archery at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
“I’m dead-a-s serious,” he said in an interview with Nischelle Turner. “I actually started playing around with archery in junior high.
“I stopped for a while, and my son bought me a setup… I don’t know if was for my birthday or Father’s Day or something like that. So I have it set up in my backyard. I heard that qualifying for the Olympics is 77 feet, and I practice at 90. Wouldn’t that be interesting to go, especially with it being here in L.A., and win the gold medal?” “I feel like I can do anything,” he added.
In the interview, the legendary producer also weigh in on the inaugural olympics breakdancing competition. “I did not like that. It’s so many great breakdancers that I don’t know why they had this particular person doing that,” he said. “It was funny, I got some laughs out of it, but what the f–k? There are incredible breakdancers out right now; I don’t know how that happened.”
