Doja Cat’s “Paint The Town Red” rises to number 1 on Billboard Hot 100.
Ahead of her new album “Scarlet“, Doja Cat gets a huge boost on Billboard charts as he recent single “Paint The Town Red” rises to number 1 on the US Hot 100. The track becomes the first rap song to top the Hot 100 this year, and Doja becomes only the second rapper to achieve this, following Latto with her assist on Jung Kook’s “Seven”.

This is Doja’s first solo #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, and second overall after “Say So (Remix)” with Nicki Minaj. She now becomes the first artist to achieve the #1 rap song on the charts since Nicki Minaj in August 2022. The Planet Her artists also achieved a top spot on the Billboard Global 200 singles charts, which is her first #1 hit and first rap #1 in 2023.

The boost on the charts comes following her success on streaming services. Paint The Town Red has been the most streamed rap song on Spotify in the past week. This past week, the single earned 51.6m streams on the platform, and second, on the list was Gunna’s Fukumean with 22.9 million.
