Doja Cat Stops Lollapalooza Argentina Show To Help A Fan In Need

Doja Cat checks on a fan in distress at the Lollapalooza Argentina show.

Doja Cat was one of the headliners on the second day of Lollapalooza Argentina this past weekend, which also featured performances from Machine Gun Kelly, Jack Harlow, Alan Walker, Kehlani and more. During her set, she was performing her song “Options”, when Doja Cat suddenly asked to cut the music, as a fan in the crowd needed help.

“Wait!!!” she shouts. “Somebody needs help over there. Is that right? Am I right? Somebody needs help? Okay!!!”

“Yo I love you guys, I really do,” she said. “But we can’t have that happening, So I’m not just gonna… as long as somebody’s going out there. You guys, over there in that circle that just signalled to me, when everything’s OK, you just go like this. Just do that. Just wait. If it’s not OK, then don’t do anything, but once it’s OK, just do something with your hands like this. I am sorry, I can’t keep going if things aren’t good, I am sorry.”

“I wanna ask you guys a question,” she continues. “Does it matter that everybody here gets home safe? Right? Make noise if everybody who needs to get home safe gets home safe. Then you’re on my side, right? That’s all that matters.”

“Listen you guys, it’s nobody’s fault. This stuff happens. It’s a lot of people and people get crushed. It’s a lot. If you can see from the point of view I’m seeing it from, it’s a lot of people. It’s nobody’s fault, everybody wants to be here. You see what I’m saying? So don’t get sad or upset. I’ll be back. I will, I promise.”

Doja Cat then pledged that she will return to the stage. After confirming that everything was well with the audience, the singer remarked, “Let’s Go,” and continued her performance with her hit song Say So.

Meanwhile, Doja Cat has been nominated for Grammy Awards in the categories of Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Performance, Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Melodic Rap Performance, and Best Rap Song.
