DJ Premier and Nas to drop collab album next month.
A new collab album between DJ Premier and Nas was teased earlier this month, and the project is reportedly dropping next month. The duo appeared at the New York Comic-Con panel, where they discussed their album, which is a part of Mass Appeal’s “Legend Has It” series.
The duo revealed that the project will drop in December, and now a release date has been announced. Last night at DJ Premier and The Alchemist’s tour concert in Bristol, England, Preemo announced the release date. “How many people are ready for that Nas Premier album?” he asked in the clip that surfaced. “Are you ready for it? December 12 get ready motherf–ker.”
Earlier this year, the duo teamed up on the song “Define My Name” on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Nas’ classic debut album “Illmatic”. ”Ayy, yo, Preem, chill / I got the rhymes, you got the beats / Aight / Thirty years later, we back in the streets, we back in the lab / Aight then, let’s go Nas / It’s time / It’s album time, yeah / Premier album still gon’ happen,” Nas teased the album on the song.
