Metro Boomin asks DJ Akademiks not to post about him.
DJ Akademiks fires shots at Metro Boomin after the producer tells him not to post about him on his social media. Amid Hit-Boy’s new song “Slipping Into Darkness” with The Alchemist, where he named dropped Boomin among other producers, Akademiks posted the apparent response from Metro, who shared lyrics of Kendrick Lamar’s “Rich Spirit”. “Stop playin’ with me ‘fore I turn you to a song,” the quote reads.
After spotting the post, Boomin commented on AK’s IG with a request to not share anything about him. “Hey I’m politely asking 1 more time that you please not post me or anything to do with me on this page,” he wrote. “Thanks! (handshake emoji).”

Metro’s relatively muted reactions to the recent controversy suggest that he is prioritizing his attention on upcoming endeavors, such as a joint venture with Future that is slated to debut in 2023. In an interview with FLAUNT, Metro verified that he intends to release a collaborative LP with his close associate Future later in the current year.
