Recently, Mase dissed Diddy on Oracle 2 and accused him of taking advantage of Biggie’s death.
Mase and Diddy are no longer friends. Their dispute, which began over publication rights, has now expanded. Mase created a diss track for Diddy and then accused him of being the cause of his performance’s technical issues at Lovers & Friends.
Despite having a long history together, Diddy and Mase, a former Bad Boy Records artist, have recently grown estranged due to disagreements about publishing. Murda Mase released a song in March titled “Oracle 2: The Liberation Of Mason Betha” that was intended to bash Diddy and charge him with taking advantage of Biggie’s passing.
“Yeah, I’m just a Harlem n***a reppin’ down a Vegas strip with my own Suge,” he rapped. “You from Mt. Vernon, n***a, go and rep your own hood/I’m not hating on your Billi worth / Right now, I’m only saying what you really work / You ain’t no architect / You just a n***a who know how to market death.”
Janice Combs, Diddy’s mother, is keenly aware of the growing feud between the two artists. It appears that Diddy’s mother is tired of Mase demeaning her son. Diddy’s mother interrupted him on Saturday when he was filming an Instagram Live video and gave her thoughts on the rapper.
Diddy is seen in the film, which has now gone viral on social media, honoring several musicians, including Mase. He started to say, “Shout out to the LOX, Ma$e, Biggie, and Busta,” but was interrupted by his mother’s off-camera remark. “I’m talking about everybody that’s on the… My mom said, “Ma$e?”,” he continued, turning to her. “Yeah we still love Mase, always gonna be love,”, he tried to explain, but it’s obvious his mother is talking off camera. She then screams, “Don’t mess with my son,” as Diddy tilts the camera in her direction. Diddy seemed to be amused.

In 2020, Mase called out Diddy for allegedly stealing his publication for far less than it was worth during his Grammy Awards speech, which was centered on the alleged dubious procedures of the Recording Academy.
“@diddy I heard your #Grammy speech about how u are now for the artist and about how the artist must take back control,” he said on Instagram at the time. “So I will be the first to take that initiative. Also, before we ask of other ethnicities to do us right we should do us as black people better. Especially the creators. I heard u loud and clear when u said that u are now for the artist and to that my response is if u want to see change you can make a change today by starting with yourself.”
“Your past business practices knowingly has continued purposely starved your artist and been extremely unfair to the very same artist that helped u obtain that Icon Award on the iconic Badboy label. For example, u still got my publishing from 24 years ago in which u gave me $20k. Which makes me never want to work w/ u as any artist wouldn’t after u know someone is robbing you & tarnishing your name when u don’t want to comply with his horrendous business model.”
Mase recently accused Diddy of sabotaging his Lovers & Friends Las Vegas concert, according to Mase. His concert was beset by several technical issues, and after attempting to sing “Mo Money Mo Problem,” a popular song from 1997 that he co-wrote with The Notorious B.I.G. and Diddy, the sound was turned off for around 10 minutes.
The veteran rapper suggested Diddy was behind the sabotage, telling the crowd, “I see what’s going on. I’m used to being hated on. I’m used to what’s going on. Somebody, somewhere paid a few dollars to stop my show. But that can’t stop somebody like me. I don’t get ran away too easy. I just wasn’t ready for that, so I’m gonna take my time.”
