Diddy apologizes for the video of him beating Cassie in 2016.
Just recently, a surveillance video of Diddy assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel hallway in Los Angeles in 2016 was released online, and he received criticism all over social media. After the video went viral, the Bad Boy mogul took to his social media to issue an apology for his abusive behaviour.
“It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that,” he said in the video. “I was f—ked up… I hit rock bottom… but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video.”
“I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace.” “I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry,” he concluded.
“It is disturbing and inhumane what Diddy did to Cassie, but who are we to judge him? Diddy claimed to be a changed man promoting love a few years ago. It’s unfortunate that his past has come back to hunt him even as a changed man,” a user wrote in his comment section. “Truly sorry to who? You aren’t even apologizing to Cassie. You can’t even say her name. She’s the one that deserves an apology not social media,” added another. “I don’t know much. And I don’t care too much. It’s beyond my tax bracket lol. But Inna REAL life. To my people… “He who is without sin, cast the first stone”.”
