Conway The Machine talks about his upcoming Shady Records album “God Don’t Make Mistakes”.
Conway The Machine recently did an interview with the Ebro in the Morning crew where he talks about his latest album “La Maquina“, rumors that Griselda will be breaking up, showing more of his own personality, working with Ludacris and 2 Chainz. On the show, he was also asked about his upcoming Shady Records album “God Don’t Make Mistakes“, to which Conway The Machine Says.
“The illest lyricism. The most beautiful wordplay that’s ever been witnessed in an era of humankind. Put it simply, I’m just rapping, man. I’m rapping. I ain’t no humble time no more. We’re rapping or what, that’s my message to ni**as. What we doing? We’re moving into a space in the music world, we’re in an era where it don’t even matter if you’re nice or not. People like you, your page, your Gram, your posts, and sh*t more than they think about your lyrics. They don’t care about the music. If people like you as a person, you’re gonna stream amazingly. I ain’t tripping on that. I want to rap. Put me in that classroom with the rappers.”
“Just being able to create and get mentorship from Eminem… that’s one of my favorite artists of all time,” Conway told Zane Lowe. “So going into it I’m just excited about having Eminem as a big brother. That pretty much sold and sealed the deal for me. Sometimes it can be a lot of pressure when you sign to a major label. It was important to me to still be able to feed my diehard fans and my core audience but still show some sort of growth. The approach was pretty much the same, I just had those pressures in the back of my mind.”
