Watch Complex Drops Slim Shady Vs Marshall Mathers Face-Off Interview

Eminem and Slim Shady argues in Complex face-off interview.

After teasing it last week, Complex has finally released the face-off conversation between Eminem and his alter ego Slim Shady. The interview is as part of the promo run for the rapper’s latest album “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce).

In the face-off, the current era Eminem sat down with the AI Slim Shady for a conversation, which is more of a argument. “You’re not f–king Taylor Swift. You had one ‘era’ that mattered, Mine. Everything that people think of when they think of Eminem is f–king yours truly,” Slim said. “From the blonde hair to the middle finger to the f–king jokes… all of it, me. And if we’re being honest, the music that you’ve been dropping since I bounced ain’t it. Look man, nobody gives a f–k about your lyrical miracles. You’re scaring the h-es… People wanna be entertained.”

“So you think it’s entertaining to just be a d–khead and pi-s people off?” says Eminem. “Every other week on TikTok, Gen Z discovers you on Monday and cancels me on Tuesday. When’s the last time you took a shot at someone who wasn’t a pop star, a non-rapping celebrity, f–king marginalized communities? It’s f–king 2024, man. Let people live their lives. This sh-t ain’t got nothing to do with you. It’s not that f–king hard. Just respect whatever people want to be called and keep it moving.”

Before the interview, Eminem and Slim Shady also starred in Complex’s latest cover magazine. “Just the two of us,” it says at the cover showing Shady driving a car with Eminem hands tied on the front seat. The alternate magazine cover says “24 Bonnie & Clyde (Me & My Stalker)”.

The new “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)” album earned Eminem another number 1 on the US Billboard 200, which is his 11th consecutive chart topper. The project moved 281,000 equivalent album units in the week ending July 18. The album debuted atop with the largest week for any rap/hip-hop album in 2024.
