Cardi B reflects on speaking at Kamala Harris’ rally.
Cardi B also joined the long list of celebrities to endorse Kamala Harris for 2024 President as she made an appearance at her Milwaukee rally. Following her speech at the rally, Elon Musk fired shots at the rapper and called her a “puppet.”
“Another puppet who can’t even talk without being fed the words. The Kamala campaign has no authenticity or true empathy,” he wrote on X.
After the post from Musk, Cardi B snapped back on the platform. “I’m not a puppet Elon.. I’m a daughter of two immigrant parents that had to work their a-s off to provide for me! I’m a product of welfare, I’m a product of section 8, I’m a product of poverty and I’m a product of what happens when the system is set up against you….But you don’t know nothing about that. You don’t know not one thing about the American struggle…. PS fix my algorithm.”

In her speech, Cardi said: “I’ve been waiting for this moment my whole life. I do not take lightly the call to show up, the call to speak up, the call to deliver a message that’s been on my heart a hot minute now.”
“Just like Kamala Harris, I too have been the underdog, I’ve been underestimated, my success belittled and discredited. Let me tell you something. Women have to work ten times harder, perform ten times better, and still people question us, how we got to the top. I can’t stand a bully, but just like Kamala, I always stand up to one.”
She also took to her social media to reflect on the moment. “Last night was a moment I feel like I’ve been waiting for my whole life. If you know me you know I’m the biggest history nerd and I’ve been talking about politics on all my platforms for a long long time so this was a dream come true. I’m so glad that I got to meet and learn so much from VP Kamala Harris.. we have to make a change on Tuesday and I know she’s the one to take us there… AND YES!.. I wrote my speech down because I had to make sure I said everything I wanted to say honey!! I’m sooo proud of myself you don’t even know….and No I aint get payed a dollar ..I actually came out of pocket wit glam and travel.”
