Bow Wow gives an update on his next and final album.
Bow Wow has been in the game for over two decades, but he hasn’t put out much material in the last 10 years. The Ohio rapper’s most recent studio album “New Jack City II” was released way back in 2009, and he dropped the “Greenlight 6” mixtape a couple of years back.
He has been prepping his final album for some time now, reportedly called “Before 30”. The project was supposed to drop last but has been pushed back. He previously talked about the album and said it will be his last album, with narration from Snoop Dogg. “I’ma do one more album. It’s gonna be the last one and it’s gonna be called Before 30, and I’ma have Snoop narrate the whole thing,” he told Ebro on Hot 97.
However, the rapper was thinking about early retirement and revealed that Snoop Dogg urged him to give us one more project. “Snoop told me no way you can retire before me,” he wrote. “You owe us one more. Speak on all the real sh*t that we wanna know you been going through. Put it song and watch it flourish. – nuff said unc! #lastone.”
“I’ve been working since I was 13. I’m 34,” Bow Wow said. “Imma end it at, this phase in my career I’m finally getting my roses and everybody is considering me to be somewhat of a GOAT from my time period and legend and all of this. For me to show cats that I didn’t have to drop a single in eight years and do no music and I’m back in these arenas that Drizzy is selling out all these guys is in and it’s 20,000 a night, it’s ridiculous. It’s unheard of.”
