Bobby Shmurda believes Roc Nation influenced Tory Lanez’s verdict.
Tory Lanez has been found guilty of all three felonies in the case of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020 and is now looking at a sentence of 22 years behind bars. The Canadian artist is guilty of all three charges including felony assault with a semiautomatic, possession of a concealed, unregistered firearm and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
After the verdict, Lanez’s family blamed JAY-Z and Roc Nation behind the “Alone At Prom” artist being found guilty of all charges. Now Bobby Shmurda also co-sign the theory and called out Roc Nation without mentioning their name.
“These labels is nasty. Look what they just did to Tory. That sh*t is nasty. These the same people that say they come from our lifestyle,” he said. “These motherf**kers playing dress up. Tory, Young Thug … I don’t even want to be rapper. This sh*t is crazy. And then motherf**kers want to be artists.”
Numerous petitions have been started by Tory Lanez’s supporters in an effort to overturn the rapper’s conviction on three felony counts related to the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.
Since a Los Angeles grand jury rendered the guilty decision on Friday, at least three similar petitions have been started on Change.org. With over 24,600 votes gathered as of press time, the appeal with the greatest support, which was started on the same day Tory Lanez was placed under arrest, was quickly reaching its 25,000 signature target. His sentencing hearing has not yet been set.
