Bizarre shares his life story about never giving up and also talks about Eminem.

Bizarre, a D12 member whose relationship with Eminem was established in Detroit in the 1990s. The former D12 rapper Bizarre recently took to his social media where he shares some of the things he went through in his lifetime and tells his fans to never give up on dreams. In his post, Bizarre also revealed that he took his good friend Eminem on his first trip to New York when the legendary rapper wanted to give up on Rap. We’re not sure about which year was it as he didn’t reveal more context about it.

I’ve been doing this for a long time every since I was 10 years old my mother gave me my first rap name Sweet Pete.. she used to manage me and even got me shows. When I tell y’all this this is all I know I pay a lot of dues for this slip on a lot of floors ate a lot of Coney Island even went to New York and was homeless me and proof survived of Dollar slices. I didn’t finish high school but I went back and got my GED college was never an option for me.. I even took Eminem to New York for his first trip when he want to give up on rap .. i’m here to tell y’all never give up on your dreams.. even if they call you a bum or loser or tell you to go get a job and a Chrysler or Ford never give up .. Not my family will be straight for the rest of your life! Never give up !!” wrote Bizarre.

In 1995, he formed the rap group D12 alongside DeShaun “Proof” Holton, Karnail “Bugz” Pitts, Carlos “Fuzz Scoota” Rabb, Willie “Eye Kyu” Drake, and Von “Kuniva” Carlisle, all of whom he knew from his neighbourhood. Through Proof, he also met Marshall “Eminem” Mathers. Bizarre used to go to a bar called ‘The Shelter’ at Saint Andrew’s Hall on Friday evenings, where rap bouts were conducted.

Attack of the Weirdos is Bizarre’s first extended play. Federation Records released it on September 1, 1998. Local Detroit deejays and producers like as DJ Head, who was D12’s deejay at the time, Mad Chemist, Hush of Da Ruckus, and the now famous producers J Dilla of Slum Village and Mr. Porter handled the audio production for the seven-track album. As a member of the hip hop crews D12 and Outsidaz, Bizarre had several of his D12 and Outsidaz teammates feature on this album. In 1998, Bizarre won the Inner City Flava Of The Year award for the EP.

During Bizarre’s tenure with D12, the band published the albums “Devil’s Night” and “D12 World,” with songs like “Purple Pills” and “My Band” becoming international successes. ‘Rufus,’ his most recent solo album, was released in 2019 and was named after his own surname, Rufus Johnson.

D12’s breakup was confirmed by Eminem in 2018, with the song “Stepping Stone” from the album “Kamikaze” stating that the tragic shooting of bandmate Proof in 2016 signalled the end of the group. Eminem rapped on the single, “Cause the truth is, the moment Proof died, so did the group.”
