Check out the Grammy 2021 Nominations.
The 63rd annual Grammy Awards will take place on January 31st, 2021, and today they have announced the nominations in all the categories through a live stream. Beyonce tops with nine nominations, followed by Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, and Roddy Ricch with six nominations each.
Beyoncé got the most nominations overall, with nine in eight categories, including record and song of the year for her single “Black Parade,” which was released amid the height of the Black Lives Matter rallies this summer. Swift, whose previous two albums drew little notice from the Grammys and were not nominated for any awards, received six nominations, including five for “Folklore.” Lipa, the British dance-pop sensation who won best new artist in 2019, is up for album of the year for “Future Nostalgia,” and her disco-tinged “Don’t Start Now” is up for both record and song of the year.
Billie Eilish won all 4 of the main groups at the 2020 Grammys. Other noteworthy events that evening included Tyler, the Creator’s first Grammy win, numerous victories for Lizzo and Lady Gaga, Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus winning for Pop Duo/Group, Vampire Weekend winning Best Alternative Music Album, Nipsey Hussle receiving a posthumous win, Rosala winning Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album, and more. Eilish, Tyler, Ariana Grande, Lizzo, Lil Nas X with BTS and Nas, Rosala, and more artists performed during the concert.
