Eminem receives no nomination in this BET Hip-Hop Awards 2020.
The 15th annual BET Hip-Hop Awards will air on October 27 and the nominations of all the categories are here. Surprisingly, BET Hip-Hop Awards snubs Eminem as the Detroit rapper didn’t receive a single nomination in all the categories. Eminem had one of the Best Rap Albums of the year “Music To Be Murdered By” which debuted at #1 on Billboard 200 and Juice WRLD assisted single “Godzilla” also broke many records.
Eminem’s fellow rapper Royce da 5’9″ also got snubbed by BET Hip-Hop Awards. The one half of Bad Meets Evil, had a great year, with his album ‘The Allegory‘, and some features on Eminem’s album.
On September 29, 2020, the nominees were revealed. Chico Bean, Karlous Miller, and DC Young Fly, cast members of Wild ‘N Out and presenters of the 85 South Comedy Show podcast, host the show. DaBaby had the most nominations (12), followed by Roddy Ricch with eleven, and Megan Thee Stallion and Drake with eight apiece.

I think BET/Viacom needs to empower someone who’s close to the culture.. Someone who knows to add those names to the list and has the power to do so.. Fill that position. We need someone who represents lyricism in that system so it doesn’t look to be out of touch. https://t.co/iWJGKo5QDG

Theres absolutely a way to get viewership and acknowledge lyricists like Black Thought. & Royce at the same time.. The trick is to make us think it’s impossible so we’ll take whatever they give us. #TheyNeedToFillThatPosition https://t.co/JVriEaWTO3
