Benzino praise Lil Baby in a series of tweets.
Lil Baby is one of the top hip-hop artists in the game right now, and according to Benzino, he’s on par with legendary 2Pac, when it comes to this generation.
“I been around Hip Hop since day & 1 out of this generations rappers @lilbaby4PF is the most influential & important at this time,” he wrote. “He like PAC’s influence can help turn around young black men to elevate their lives from the streets to a better life. He’s special trust me I know..”
“..he’s really from and wit the sh*ts & talks that street talk but he also raps about positive elevation & change, (like Pac), he never beefs online, helps his people and raps about it and you can see his maturity, not just on the mic but in real life, he’s this generations Pac.” “This generation needs more Lil Baby’s.”
“Pac shot 2 cops, mother did time for the black panthers, he did mad time, ran with many killers, brother gunned down, was in every death row beef when got there but he wasn’t active?” he said in response to a user who said Pac wasn’t active. “Nah you ain’t active.”
Comparing the ‘My Turn’ rapper to Shakur, the latter’s supremacy on the charts in terms of commercial success is nothing to be overlooked. He has provided statistics to support his knowledge, such as No. 1 albums and Diamond singles. Consider how drastically different the music industry was from what it is now. It might not be to the same extent as Pac, but it is still noteworthy.
Just recently, Baby released his third solo studio album “It’s Only Me” which earned him another top debut on Billboard 200 as it moved 216,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.
