Benzino Arrested in Georgia on Speeding and Drg Possession Charges

Benzino was reportedly arrested in Georgia following a traffic stop and faces multiple charges.

Rapper and media personality Benzino was recently arrested in Georgia after a traffic stop led to several charges, according to local reports.

The incident reportedly took place on June 9 in Crisp County, Georgia. Authorities say Benzino was driving a silver SUV on Interstate 75 when an officer observed the vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit. The local Police claim the vehicle was moving at 91 mph in a 70 mph zone before the traffic stop was initiated.

During the stop, Zino allegedly informed officers that his driver’s license had been suspended. After checking his information, authorities reportedly found that his license had been suspended for multiple reasons.

According to reports, officers also detected the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Police then conducted a search and allegedly discovered marijuana inside the SUV. Another bag containing dr-gs was reportedly found near the passenger seat.

The passenger, identified as Ruth Lewis, allegedly claimed ownership of the dr-gs. However, both Benzino and Lewis were taken into custody and booked into the Crisp County Jail on dr-g-related charges.

In addition to the dr-g charges, Benzino was also cited for speeding and driving without a valid license.

Reports further state that the SUV was not registered to Benzino. The vehicle allegedly belonged to a woman named Ashley Bell. As a result, Bell was reportedly charged for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate her vehicle.

Following the arrest, Benzino was released after posting bond. Authorities have not released additional details regarding the investigation at this time.
