Andre 3000’s new album “New Blue Sun” charts in the Billboard 200 top 50.
Andre 3000 made his long-awaited return to music with his new project “New Blue Sun“, and the legendary rapper earned a spot on the Billboard charts. The project moved 24,000 album-equivalent units in the first week, which saw him debuting at number 30 on the US Billboard 200.
The Outkast icon also earned a huge Billboard record with the song titled “I Swear, I Really Wanted to Make a ‘Rap’ Album But This Is Literally the Way the Wind Blew Me This Time.” According to Billboard, the song now become the lengthiest song to appear on the chart’s 70-year history. The track which has a runtime of 12 minutes and 20 seconds, debuts at number 89 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
The record was previously held by Taylor Swift, with her song titled “All Too Well (Taylor’s Version),” with a runtime of 10 minutes and 13 seconds. The track also topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 2021.
