Killer Mike dominates rap categories at Grammy Awards 2024.
The annual 2024 Grammy Awards are taking place right now at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, and Killer Mike dominated the rap categories at the event.
This year, SZA dominates the nominations with 9 Grammy noms, followed by Phoebe Bridgers with seven nods. Killer Mike won the best rap album category with his latest album “Michael”, as he beats Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss, Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains, Nas’ King’s Disease 3, and Travis Scott’s Utopia.
He also took home the best rap song with “Scientists & Engineers”, after beating Doja Cat’s Attention, Nicki Minaj & Ice Spice’s Barbie World, Lil Uzi Vert’s Just Wanna Rock, Drake & 21 Savage’s Rich Flex. The rapper’s third award of the night was for Best Rap Performance.
Lil Durk also bagged a trophy for Best Melodic Rap Performance, with his J. Cole collab “All My Life.” The other artists in the category were Burna Boy, 21 Savage, Doja Cat, Drake, 21 Savage and Low.
At the event, SZA won the awards for Best R&B Song for “Snooze”, Best Pop/Duo Group Performance for “Ghost in the Machine” and for Best Progressive R&B Album for “SOS.”
