Ab-Soul is no more humble as he declares his project top 5 of 2022.
As we head into 2023, Ab-Soul says goodbye to being humble as he shows high praise for his latest album “Herbert“, which is his first album in 6 years, following up on 2016’s “Do What Thou Wilt.”
The LA rapper first clears the confusion about his name, then went to acknowledge his latest project. “For the last time…. My name is Ab-Soul. Not Ab Soul/AbSoul/Absol/etc. Thanks,” he wrote. “ALSO. My album IS top 5 of da year. Fu*c all dat humble sh*t. Dead homies,” he said in another.
For the last time….

Not Ab Soul/AbSoul/Absol/etc

Ab-Soul had a private interview with Charlamagne Tha God as part of the album’s promotion. Soulo discusses an attempted suicide with the other person throughout their lengthy conversation, which lasted over an hour. “I pretty much finished the album before I did what I did. I jumped off a freeway overpass, man. It was about 50 feet. I think a car broke my fall. [I] walked from my mom’s house to the bridge and jumped off on the freeway overpass. Imagine, like, you’re walking and you blink and then you’re further. You blink and then you’re further, you blink and then I’m on a fence,” he details.
However, the album failed to earn commercial success on the charts, as it didn’t chart on the US Billboard 200 upon its release. The album had 18 tracks, with guest appearances from Zacari, Joey Badass, Jhene Aiko, Punch, Russ, Big Sean, SiR and more
