It’s GOATs birthday- Happy Birthday Eminem. Known by so many names – Slim Shady, Marshall Mathers, Rap God, Eminem is the white boy in the Hip Hop World who has taken the rap game by storm. When so many rappers came & went, Eminem, is still going strong, and seems like he has no plans to leave it. During his XXL Magazine interview, Eminem said that he still wants to be the best in the game and will not leave soon.
During the course of his lengthy rap career, Eminem has done a great deal to garner noteworthy attention. The musician has managed to remain to ensure validity in the challenges and triumphs of his private affairs and changes in the music business, thanks to his famed beefs with other artists, his contentious lyrics, and his high-profile performances.
When Eminem proclaimed to him the Rap God back in 2013, he wasn’t kidding. Why wouldn’t he be? Throughout his more than 20-year career in the rap game, Marshall Mathers had the title of the best-selling artist for a given era at one time. Despite this, he later showed his ability to produce results without any form of advertising. 2) He became the first artist to have ten straight number-one albums.
After the well-received surprise drop of Music to Be Murdered By in the initial months of 2020, Eminem made history by becoming the first performer to have 10 straight number-one records.
3) He won Best Rap Album three times in a row.
During his height in the 2000s, Eminem delivered three iconic albums in quick succession: The Slim Shady LP (1999), The Marshall Mathers LP (2000), and The Eminem Show (2002), all of which won the Grammy for Best Rap Album.
4) He became the first rapper to win an Academy Award.
Eminem made history on March 23, 2003, when he became the first rapper to appear on the illustrious Oscar Awards stage and won big, defeating U2, Paul Simmons, and others in the process.

Eminem had a total album sales run from 2000 to 2010 of 32.2 million, making him the best-selling artist of the period. With 30 million, The Beatles came in second place.
9) The First rapper to get the MTV Europe Music Global Icon Award.
Eminem became the first hip-hop artist to win the Global Icon Award when he accepted it at the 2013 MTV Europe Music Awards.
10) The First performer in Nielsen SoundScan history to have two best-selling albums at the end of the year.
By selling 3.42 million copies, Eminem’s Recovery took first place for the year’s best-selling album. When The Eminem Show sold 7.61 million copies in 2002, he already received the same award. He became the only artist to do so since Nielsen began keeping track of music sales in 1991, making him the year’s top-selling album for two consecutive years.

The Marshall Mathers LP by Eminem, the fastest-selling album in hip-hop ever, sold an amazing 1,760,049 copies in its first week. It did twice that many copies in its first week as Snoop Dogg’s 1993 album Doggystyle, the previous rap record holder (800,000 copies)

Eminem received 10 Grammy nominations in one night for Recovery, including Best Rap Song, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best Music Video, as well as Best Rap Album and Best Rap Solo Performance for Not Afraid.

Eminem is the first and only rapper with three diamond-certified hip-hop albums. The Eminem Show (2002) is his best-selling disc at 12 million units, per RIAA. His other Diamond-certified sets are “The Marshall Mathers LP (2000)” and the 2005 compilation “Curtain Call: The Hits”.
