2 Chainz & Lil Wayne collab album “ColleGrove 2” dropping in November.
2 Chainz teases his return to the music scene as he revealed that collab album with Lil Wayne “ColleGrove 2” is dropping next month. During a conversation with Rock The Bells, 2 Chainz said: “Me and Wayne’s album drops next month. This is a full circle moment.”
“We have two videos shot, photoshoot shot, (the) album’s mixed and getting mastered, so it’ll be coming sooner than later, and I’m really excited about it,” Chainz said last month. “It’s rapping at a high level — steel sharpens steel. And he’s one of the people that I enjoy working with the most.”
The duo previously worked together on the 2016 album “ColleGrove”, where only the Georgia rapper was credited as the primary artist due to Wayne’s record label issues. In March 2016, ColleGrove debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. While it was first advertised as a joint collaboration between the rappers, due to Weezy’s label issues, 2 Chainz ended up obtaining credit as the lead artist.
