Wiz Khalifa weighs in on Kendrick Lamar vs Drake.
Wiz Khalifa shades Drake as he shares his thoughts on the Toronto rap star taking legal action on Universal Music Group for promotion of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.” In a new interview with NFL legend Shannon Sharpe on the Club Shay Shay podcast, he was asked about the legal situation in Kendrick Lamar vs Drake beef.
“‘Bout time,” he said about the battle between the two hip-hop giants. “I’m tired of ni–as acting like they’re cool with each other. Just speak how you really feel, bro.”
“It sounds like a Drake move to me,” he said about Drake’s legal action on UMG. “He’s a musician and businessman so if he’s not in the public eye winning, musically, he’s gonna get a win wherever he can. I mean, it’s a smart thing to do. They’re playing it exactly how they’re supposed to.”
“Nah, I don’t think them ni–as f–k with each other at all,” he said on if the battle is for entertainment only. “It’s just how the industry is and all of that’s coming to an end now, and it’s all spilling out and you’re getting to see it.
“But this is also like wrestling as well, so the same people who are arguing can be cool instantly. So it’s like, don’t get too caught up on the animosity part…. not them, but in general, people will be hugging later.”
