Summer Walker’s conversation with Ari Lennox on the Album “Over It”.
Summer Walker’s debut album ‘Over It‘ was released last week and it’s all set to debut at the number 1 on Billboard 200 this week. She continues the promo run as she sat down with fellow singer Ari Lennox for ‘Over It‘ Conversation on Apple Music. They talk about the new album, dating, relationships, hair issues, state of R&B, plastic surgery, periods, and more.
“I feel too addicted to it and I just wanna be done with it and start walking outside—just walk and be with my dog,” said the Songstress Dreamville, while Summer was in agreement, “It’s an app, relax. If it gets deleted tomorrow, I think you’ll actually have nothing to talk about in life.”
They also spoke about monogamy during the eight-minute convoy. “I’ve never made it to a year. They’ve all been like six months,” said Ari, who said she’s “over guys…but not really.” Summer, who flaunted her butt implants, also admitted to having been with a lady before revealing her kind (“Little studs”).
Summer’s record is titled “Over It“, and Ari asks her why she chose that title. “I’m so over it. I’m over it all. I’m overperforming,” she said while Ari urged her not to quit. “I don’t think you should quit ’cause you’re phenomenal and you’re amazing and I just want you to know I’ve been there.”
Over It debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 in its first week, selling 134,000 album-equivalent units. Its first week was the most successful for an R&B album by a female performer in terms of on-demand audio streams. It has sold over 2,500,000 equivalent units in the United States so far.
In 2023, Walker released a new EP titled “Clear 2: Soft Life”, a sequel to her 2019’s four-track EP “Clear”. The EP featured guest appearances from Childish Gambino and J. Cole. “For my new listeners I wanna let it be known that CLEAR Projects are my favorite type of music to make, it’s slick the only time I actually have fun making music,” she wrote. “it’s raw it’s real it’s live. This for my day 1 fans, the rest of y’all will get y’all auto tune packed radio joints when the album come out lol.”
“I’m so mad I had just got my body done last year,” she wrote about pregnancy ruining her cosmetic surgery, “n now all the $ went down the drain lol b–bs s-ggy stretchy marks everywhere probably gone have a gut.” She added: “Now ima have to get it all redone.”
