Migos visits The Breakfast Club for a “Culture III” interview.
Following the release of “Why Not” Music Video, Migos continues the promo run for their new album “Culture III” as they made a visit to The Breakfast Club for an interview with Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy. On the show, the Atlanta trio talks about their new album which released last week with guest appearances from Drake, Cardi B, Polo G, Future, Justin Bieber, NBA Youngboy, and posthumous contributions from Juice WRLD and Pop Smoke.
“Last summer, we were getting ready,” explains Quavo, reflecting on the creation of Culture III. “We stayed in this house together for six months. We had six or seven records from that time that’s still in that album. We went to Miami together, just taking little trips together.” After Takeoff reveals they recorded the entire album together, Quavo explains that the chemistry never faltered. “We grew up together,” he says. “We already know what each other thinking, each other doing. It’s magic when we get together.”
Throughout the book, there are several jewels to be unearthed. For one thing, the Migos praise DJ Khaled’s hospitality, with Quavo declaring the mogul to have “the finest chef in the world.” They also disclose that Khaled flew them all to Jamaica to film the video for “We Goin Crazy,” and that they ended up staying to film their own “Why Not” video1. Offset shrugs as Charlamagne asks whether Khaled paid for everything. “Yeah!”
They also talk about Atlanta’s Mount Rushmore, upcoming solo albums, and much more. Watch the full interview below.
