Zane Lowe interviews Kanye West.
Kanye West is releasing his new album ‘Jesus is King‘ later tonight and he has already started the promo run with his new interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1. In the interview, Kanye talks about his dedication to church, wanting to fix his problems with Drake and Jay-Z, still interested in running for President, why he’s the greatest artist in music history, his love for architecture, modern day’s addiction to social media, differences in opinion with his wife and much more.
West spoke up about a variety of issues, including how he began his shift in April after Coachella, how his Jesus Is Born Sunday Service CD will be released on Christmas, how he is dealing with his mother’s passing, and how he tried to reach out to Drake. “I’m just so grateful to be here 15 years later, recording an album whose paintings continue to inspire me,” he remarked.
When working on “Jesus Is King” with others, West established specific lifestyle criteria that they had to follow in order to be a part of the project. Yeezy requested that others fast during certain parts of the creation process and refrain from engaging in any premarital sex at other times, knowing that he would face backlash if the information went public. He seemed to want the creative process to remain pure while the team settled in and developed a friendship. “The power is increased when people pray and fast together,” Ye explained.
Kanye West has also announced his another new Sunday Service themed album ‘Jesus is Born‘ to release on Christmas. Watch the full thing below.
