Zane Lowe interviews Future.
After giving us his new self-titled album which is out worldwide now and to promote it, Future stops by the Beats 1 for an interview with Zane Lowe.
On the show, he talks about wiping clean his Instagram & other social media profile a while ago, how it’s important to slow things down sometimes, establishing new partnerships, recording a lot of new music in recent months, relationship with DJ Esco, working with Atlanta producers and much more.
Future addressed his mental condition moving into this next album, justified his extended hiatus from social media, and highlighted his ambition to prove that he can be “greater” than his previous partnerships in a new, in-depth interview with Zane Lowe, which aired on Beats 1 on Thursday. “It was probably the best thing I’d ever done,” Future told Zane Lowe about his recent absence from social media. “I’m just not giving it attention. I want to give the music attention and be in the studio. I want to give all my attention to my music, my kids, my family so I just wanna focus on certain things besides social media.”
Future discussed his album track “Super Trapper” with Lowe, a song about “taking an everyday guy and turning them into a superhero.” To sum up, “you trapping, I trapping times ten,” he stated.
For years, Future teased his fans with a Future Hendrix project. This record, he says, will see him transform into his rock-star alter ego, sans instrument. He remarked of the endeavour,“I wanted to do it right,” he said of the project. He added: “They’re weren’t ready. They wanted me to be ratchet. ”
