Watch Eminem Admits That He's A Guest in the House of Hip-Hop; Lord Jamar Claims His Victory in the Debate

Eminem acknowledges that he’s a guest in Hip-Hop on KXNG Crooked interview.

Eminem’s first interview since the release of his new album, Music to Be Murdered By, was presented by Kxng Crooked of Slaughterhouse. Em delves into his fascination with rhyme schemes and wordplay in the latest episode of Crooked’s new Crook’s Corner series, taking apart his favorite lines. But it doesn’t take long for the conversation to shift to his continuing spat with Lord Jamar. Em made a not-so-subtle dig at Jamar in the song “I Will.” “Yeah, your group was off the chain, but you were the weakest link,” the Detroit MC spat on the track, which many read as a dig at Brand Nubian, who allegedly said white rappers were “guests in the house of hip hop.”

Eminem who released his latest album ‘Music to Be Murdered By‘ last month, sat down with KXNG Crooked for a new exclusive interview where he addressed Lord Jamar’s claims that Eminem is a guest in the house of Hip-Hop. Without taking Lord Jamar’s name, Eminem talks about his comments and said that he never said he wasn’t a guest in Hip-Hop.

Well, I mean, that’s the funny thing. I don’t know if I’ve got a chance to say this yet, but the funny sh*t is, with the whole beef of a certain person, I never said I wasn’t a guest,” said Eminem. “I’m absolutely a guest, I never said I wasn’t. And I never said I was King of anything, right? I had a song called ‘Kings Never Die,’ but it wasn’t me saying. That was one of the beats that Khalil sent me with the hook on it, that was the concept of the song, and I’m like, ‘I can’t say I’m the King of Hip-Hop.’ So I threw Run-DMC in there, and Jam Master J, you know what I’m saying. I don’t want to be the ‘King of Hip-Hop,’ who the f*ck is the ‘King of Hip-Hop?’, like Is there a King of Hip-Hop?’. People would say just because you sell records doesn’t mean you’re the best. Just because you can rap 40 million syllables doesn’t mean you’re the best.

Slim Shady also paid tribute to the late Juice WRLD, with whom he collaborated on the song “Godzilla” on Music to Be Murdered By. “That kid was insanely talented, like his Tim Westwood freestyle – what the f**k?” Em of Juice, who died in December from an accidental overdose, remarked this. “To be so young, he mastered that so fucking quickly. His potential was so off the charts.

Now Lord Jamar took to twitter to claim the win over Eminem in a couple of tweets.

Eminem recently dissed Jamar and addressed his remarks about being a guest in hip-hop on “I Will” off his most recent album Music to Be Murdered By, in which he also addressed the diss.“Been claiming rap when it’s not yours / If it was anyone’s house, G Rap and Rakim would be havin’ you mop floors,” he raps. “Run-DMC would be havin’ you cleanin’ sinks / Yeah, your group was off the chain but you were the weakest link.”

Following the Kxng Crooked interview, Jamar responded to Eminem’s comments. “I guess his EGO wouldn’t allow him to say ‘Lord Jamar was right the whole time, & I was buggin for coming at him the way I did…my bad…I am a guest in the house of Hip Hop,’” tweeted the former Brand Nubian rapper. “But at least the EGO was quelled enough to admit what I’d been saying all along.”
