Cardi B stopped by The Breakfast Club for an exclusive interview with DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God, and Angela Yee. On the show she talks about her relationship with Offset, her BET Hip-Hop Award nominations, the new album, talking to Nicki Minaj and a lot more.
“I wanted to drop next month,” she explained in the interview. “Every single time I think, ‘I got all the 10 songs,’ I’m like, ‘I’m buggin’. These ain’t it.’ It’s just like, ‘Damn! I’m competing with myself. I’m competing with the goddamn No. 2 record and stuff.’”
“Y’all know I just put the song [Bodak Yellow] out three months ago,” she continued. “Can I work the record? I got something, but can I just put it out when this record just came out? I got something for y’all. I’m gonna drop something in October, but damn.”
“Not yet. The last time I talked to her, I showed her a beat and she showed me a beat. Right now, I’m so focused on my album. There’s a lot of people coming my way, man,” she said about collab with Remy Ma.
“They just said hi. No, they said a lot of other beautiful stuff. I don’t want to air stuff like that out, but I met her. I met Beyoncée, y’all. It was real. It wasn’t Photoshopped,” she said about JAY-Z and Beyonce.
