Wale visits The Breakfast Club for a new interview.
Wale is currently on the promo run for his new album “Folarin II” and his latest stop was The Breakfast Club where he had an insightful interview with Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, and Angela Yee.
The interview started with the hosts asking Wale about getting Covid and how he went through it. “That sh*t like you feel like you don’t got no control over nothing, I learned a lot,” he said. “I remember when I was in denial, then it’s getting worse and then I put the oxymeter on my finger, it was so low and I was like I gotta go to the hospital. I remember taking the Uber to the hospital, I was like I can’t breathe. I remember being there and the anxiety like how we deal with it. I passed out.” Then he revealed he didn’t even tell his mother until he got better. “I didn’t really call that many people man, not many people knew. I was kind of just really dolo, I was talking to god a lot though.”
Wale’s recall of his COVID-19 experience comes months after he revealed that he would be taking a social media hiatus to focus on his health. “I am out of commission. I been extremely sick,” he admitted at the time. It’s unclear whether the rapper was battling the infection at the time.
Wale also talked about Mental Health, Relationships, Kid Cudi, New Album and more.
