Wale Shares Story of J. Cole Getting Heated on JAY-Z’s Tour.
J. Cole is known to be one of the nicest dude in hip-hop, but the Dreamville rapper once lost his cool during JAY-Z’s tour, as revealed by his close friend Wale. In a new interview on UPROXX’s Sound Check series, Wale reveals Cole getting “really mad” during Hov’s The Blueprint 3 Tour in 2009/2010.
“Boy, I got some stories. You know Cole… he might hate me for this. He’s so calm. Nobody has ever seen Cole lose his temper. Ever. Oh, boy!” reveals Wale, who was an opening act on the tour alongside J. Cole, Jeezy, N.E.R.D. and Trey Songz.
“The last day of tour, we go to Jay’s suite or something, everybody’s up there. We had to leave — it was me, Ib [J. Cole’s manager], Trey [Songz] and somebody else. We get down by the bus and all I remember is Cole going at it with the tour manager.”
“Bro, to this day I’ve never seen him that mad. He was really mad. I’ll never forget that.” “All I know is I was just in shock. This guy’s always telling me I’m crazy. Like, you crazy too.”
